How To Reset The Oil Change Light On A Dodge Ram 1500?
After changing the motor oil and filter, reset the oil change light setting. Also called the oil change life reminder light turns on when it is time to change the oil or when it is dirty and no longer meets the quality standards required for use with the Dodge Ram 1500.
The following steps are needed to reset the oil change light on the Dodge Ram 1500 for model years 2019 to 2022.
- Turn the truck ignition ON, RUN position. Keep off the brake pedal, and do not start the engine. Push the start-stop button twice. The Dodge Ram 1500 should now be in the RUN position.
- The navigation buttons are on the left side of the steering wheel. Select the vehicle information system on display.
- On display, scroll left or right, search, and select the oil life reminder system.
